Whether you are starting from scratch beginning climber, intermediate level climber, or advanced climber needing one-on-one training, we have everything you need.


Program Overview

Beginning level ice climbing training

  • Course length: 2 days
  • Location: Beijing area (arrive at ice climbing site on night prior to training and stay at a local guesthouse)
  • Cost: 1,980 RMB per person
  • Instructor per Participant: 1 – 6
  • Skills acquired in the course: Foundation of ice climbing, how to ice climb properly, how to top rope ice climb, introduction to how to lead ice climb, how to belay, all proper safety techniques.

Intermediate level ice climbing training

  • Course length: 5 days
  • Location: Beijing area (arrive at ice climbing site on night prior to training and stay at a local guesthouse)
  • Cost: 4,980 RMB per person
  • Instructor per Participant: 1 – 4
  • Skills acquired in the course: Mastery of the the foundation of ice climbing, to how to lead ice climb, how to manage ice climbing risks, how to safely take other people ice climbing.

Advanced level ice climbing training

  • Course length: 6 days
  • Location: Sichuan Shuang Qiao Valley (arrive at Si Gu Niang Town the day prior to training and stay at a local guesthouse)
  • Cost: 9,980 RMB per person
  • Instructor per Participant: 1 – 2
  • Skills acquired in the course: Deeper mastery of ice climbing, mastery of how to lead ice climb, mastery of climbing techniques, mastery of climbing methods, how to climb different types of ice, how to rope together for team climbing.
  • Note: This is a very special opportunity to climb with a master teacher at China’s best ice climbing location. The one to two instructor to climber ratio ensures that your skill and experience will be second to none.

Introduction to ice climbing training for company groups

  • Course length: 1 day
  • Location: Beijing area
  • Cost: 1,000 RMB per person
  • Instructor per Participant: 1 – 8
  • Skills acquired in the course: Initial introduction to ice climbing, introduction to ice climbing risks, introduction to how to safely ice climb, introduction to ice climbing equipment.
  • Note: A minimum of 8 participants is necessary to carryout this activity.

Ice climbing individual (one-on-one) training

  • Course length: 1 day
  • Location: Beijing area (arrive at ice climbing site on night prior to training and stay at a local guesthouse)
  • Cost: individual (one-on-one) 2,500 RMB per person per day, double (one instructor per 2 participants) 2,000 RMB per person per day
  • Instructor per Participant: 1 – 1 or 1 -2
  • Skills acquired in the course: The quickest way to improve your ice climbing skills no matter what level you are at thanks to our professionally skilled instructors. Based on your level and your needs we will pick out the most appropriate location and tailor everything to your needs.

Note: The above items can be rented from Summit Experience for 200 RMB per person/per set/per activity. Please inquire.


Cost Explanation

  1. If you sign up for 2 ice climbing sessions, each session cost is reduced by 300 RMB.
  2. If you sign up for 3 or more ice climbing sessions, each session cost is reduced by 700 RMB.
