Summit Experience’s American guide Tom will lead the team. Tom is proficient in Peruvian official language – Spanish! Also, Tom is fluent Chinese, which provides for easier communication while on the trip.

A three-day trek along an ancient trail to Machu Picchu trekking along the little-walked Lares Trek (meaning the least amount of damage and the greatest preservation of the ancient Inca civilization) all to explore the lost Incan civilization.

Activity Time Table

D1 Meet-up in  Beijing/Shanghai

Gather in your respective airport (Beijing or Shanghai) as we prepare for an evening departure.

D2 Beijing/Shanghai – Lima

After a whole day of traveling, we will arrive in Lima in the evening and stay a luxury hotel to enjoy a good rest.


D3 Lima

The capital of Peru is truly great and a witness the rise and fall of the country’s great past. Today we will visit the city center (the Plaza de Armas), an indigenous historical site (the huaca pullana), and Peru’s largest Catholic Church (iglesia convento de san francisco). In the basement of this church are buried more than 20,000 devotional Christians. if you are bold, you can go and see. While enjoying a savory meal in the Malecon neighborhood in the evening we share stories and watch the sun set.




D4 Lima-Cusco

In the morning, we will fly rom Lima to Cuzco, the capital of the Inca Empire. After checking into the hotel, we will visit Cusco in the afternoon. Throughout the afternoon, we will completely disappear in the millenniums of history as we wander in the ancient city of Cusco.

Cusco : An ancient city at 3,300 meters above sea level. It was the capital of the Inca Empire in the past and the commercial, agricultural and religious center of the Inca civilization. It was listed as a World Heritage in 1983. In Cusco, the granite walls of the Inca palace from the 11th to the 12th century can still be touched, and the monumental Temple of the Sun is still preserved.




D5 Cusco

See the world’s largest whole stone! It is also the heaviest stone in the world – 30 tons! Hundreds of years ago, the Inca civilization began to construct with completely jointed stone walls and today we will see this magnificent architectural wonder. We explore all of this and more as we spend the entire day surrounding Cusco exploring: the Sacred Valley, Pisac, and Ollantaytambo. History is always the best teacher!



D6 Cusco-Lares-Huacahuasi

After a 3-hour drive from Cusco, you will arrive at Lares village, the starting point for trekking. Along the trek, we will have time to soak in a hot spring and then proceed to keep trekking. At night we stay at an altitude of 3,800 meters and as we camp beside local aborigines. What a special look at how different people live in different worlds.

D7 Huacahuasi-Patacancha

Lares trek – The trail we want to take is not a usually travelled trek, meaning it contains the least amount of damage and the greatest degree of preservation of the ancient Inca civilization. Today, not only can you see Mount Veronica (5,750 meters) and Ipsay Lake, but you can trek to the highest point of our trip (4,400 meters). Once again we stay in tents this night near the aborigines.

– Highest elevation: up to 4400 meters

– Food: breakfast in the camp; sack lunch; dinner in the camp

D8 Patacancha-Ollantaytambo-Aguas Calientes

Ollantaytambo is the end of the hike. We take a sightseeing train to Aguas calientes. The town is so beautiful that the winding path to every household is awakened in the morning by the sound of running water and the jingle of the train… Machu Picchu is not far away!

D9 Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Machu Picchu always likes to catch the eye people from all over the world. The mist in the morning makes it appear so magical! So beautiful! We will spend the majority of the day exploring this wonder of the world! In the afternoon we will say goodbye to Machu Picchu and return to Cusco.




D10 Cusco-Puno

Flying to Puno, the atmosphere of Titicaca Lake is already present. What would it be like to see it? First curb your curiosity and spend half a day strolling around the town. Let’s go to see the lake tomorrow!



D11 Titicaca Lake

Lake Titicaca is the highest altitude navigable lake in the world (3812 meters) and the largest lake in South America. Let’s take a boat weaved together with local plants to the lake’s floating villages to see the life of the locals!



D12-D13 Puno- Lima – Fly back to China

Time to begin the return trip back to China, as we fly from Puno to Lima to ultimately return back to China.

D14 Back to China

Note: High altitude and unpredictable weather conditions may make trekking extremely challenging. Trip leaders are allowed to change the schedule of activities according to factors such as weather and team members’ health to ensure everyone’s safety and the best results for all!

2. Must be healthy and have no diseases such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases that are not suitable for extreme outdoor sports.

3. This trekking tour takes a significant amount of time at high altitudes. It requires more than 4 hours of walking every day for many days. Participants must have hiking experience and good fitness level.

1. Hiking shoes: High-top, waterproof, rigid.

4. Water bag or water bottle: At least 2 liters. One liter should be an insulated thermos.

5. Sunglasses: best if polarized

6. Sleeping bags: down sleeping bag suited to -10 degrees Celsius.

8. Headlights and batteries: The battery should be sufficient for more than 20 hours.

Notes on important matters

1. After the sign up is full, signing up for the event closes. (Summit Experience has Peak Tour has the final interpretation right).

If any team member withdraws from the event, the specific refund instructions are as follows:

1) Withdrawal from the event from the time of payment until 15 days before the activity: the deposit will not be refunded; the remaining fee will be refunded minus 30% of the total activity fee;

2) From the 15th day before departure to the day of departure: 100% of the activity fee will not be refunded;

3) Plane Tickets will be refunded and changed at their own expense.

2. If there are individual travelers in the group, it may be arranged according to the circumstances that the team members will live in a double room; if there is a team member who wants to stay in a single room, he/she must pay the difference and inform Summit Experience in advance. The team leader has the right to allocate rooms. In principle, men with stay with fellow men, and women will stay with fellow women. There is no guarantee that group members will stay in the same room. Please inform us in advance if you have special requirements. The above is handled according to the actual circumstances.

3. If there are no special requests for rooms, the group members are randomly assigned roommates.
