The Jiankou section of the Great Wall is our most popular one day trek.

The Jiankou Wild Great Wall is a perfect trip for those hikers that love beautiful pictures. It is exactly what you asked for — a visit to the wild Great Wall without people. The views on top of this semi-preserved wild Great Wall are magical! We call it “wild” because it has not been restored for tourists like the common places tourists go visit, for example Badaling, Simatai, and Mutianyu.

In total we will hike about 5-7 km with a total ascent of 600 meters. Parts of the wall are almost vertically steep. Therefore, it is necessary to have a Summit Experience guide familiar with this section of the wall to ensure your safety.
